Ealing Transition Community Gardens

(Formerly 'Land for Growing Group').

Anyone can come to a 'dig day' and join this group! Dig Days are held at our plot* on the first and third Saturdays and the second and fourth Sundays of each month from 10am-1pm. Ealing Transition Community Gardens have agreed the following aims:

  1. To promote and support garden sharing schemes
  2. To promote the use of disused land for growing food (Guerilla Gardening and organised schemes)
  3. To create a Community Garden on a plot in Ealing which.
    1. Educates people about growing food so they can grow in their own gardens / other spaces.
    2. Builds Community . provides volunteering opportunities for all ages, promoting sharing and cohesion, and community involvement in decision making.
    3. Encourages healthy eating . by increasing familiarity with local seasonal veg, and when grown, having community events to make produce.

*We have secured use of 2 disused plots on the Village Park allotment site, the plot is accessed from Rose Gardens, off Popes Lane, W5 4NT.

Do come along to a dig day - bring a tool - 10am-1pm on 1st and 3rd Saturdays and 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month.

If you'd like to join our email list or if you'd like to donate allotment tools, seedling etc... please contact Courtney on ealingcommunitygarden@gmail.com or on 07545 045 926.
