Food Policy

The Food Policy group met just before Christmas to develop a template for a food strategy, and has been busy writing a document through January. The next meeting will be set when the writing phase is complete. We have made contact with the sustainability team at Ealing council.

Update, 16 March 2010

We have written a food policy. It is not perfect yet but it is getting there. You can read it here and we would be delighted to receive any comments on how we can improve it.

The food strategy is a document that all the Ealing Transition food groups can use - and shape - in the pursuit of their various projects.

We are going to be briefed by Ealing Council's new sustainability team on the 21st April. We will discuss at that meeting how we can help shape the council's sustainability policy. The next meeting of the strategy team will take place after this.

For all matters concerning the food strategy please contact Grant on grantvenner@yahoo.co.uk.
