Local Food Event
Just shy of 100 people joined us for our
Local Food day on Saturday 21 November 2009, and
participated with great energy and enthusiasm. We had a range of talks
both dramatic and inspiring, and an excellent afternoon of debate and
planning.

Nine groups formed to discuss and plan the following:
- Advice for First Time Growers
- Local Food Distribution
- Food Policy
- Local Composting
- Locally Sourced Food Directory
- Energy from Food Waste
- More Land for Growing
- Competing Demands on Green Spaces
- Vegan Sources of Protein
The immediate output from these groups is here and already demonstrates what is possible when a community starts to
act together.
