Transition Training

Training for Transition is a 2 day course, run by the Transition Network, for those wishing to know how to set up, run, and maintain a successful transition initiative.

The course I went to, at London's Transition Hub in Islington, was attended by 20 people from all around the world - literally! (Norway, an American from Japan, and a Chilean from Spain). It was a very dense, inspiring, encouraging and challenging training combining practice and theory, information about other transition towns and experience of community/group work.

For me, the course was a great way to meet and share experiences of transition with people from other initiatives, and those who are thinking of setting up one. It really widened and deepened my understanding and awareness of what is involved and how I can contribute to the journey to a more resilient, sustainable Ealing.

The course was hard work but I really enjoyed myself and would recommend it to anyone wanting to play a better part in their local transition initiative or thinking of setting up a new transition initiative in their area.
